JOE CULLEN’S PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
After a few years out of the workforce, Joe has taken on some temporary assignments while he pursues a new opportunity, a new direction. The few projects are have been mostly project development with some basic logistics work. Additionally over the past few years to learn a new skill, Joe has worked doing individual and small business tax preparation through Liberty Tax Services.
Sales & Management
Joe has worked with some of the biggest and best organizations in the Broadcast and Cable industry, this includes Comcast, Max Media, Adelphia, Sinclair and Clear Channel. His highest level of employment was Regional Sales Director. His experience gained during this time included: Directing managers and teams across a multi-state region. Overseeing a Multimillion dollar P&L. He was heavily involved in the build out and launch of a new television station learning permitting and licensing. He gained valuable experience hiring, developing and training high performance teams. He got heavily involved in corporate sports and philanthropic event sponsorship, and Campaign development and implementation.
Joe founded Race City Management in 2003. RCM was a sports marketing and entertainment company. RCM produced Multi-Media content including high school and college football and basketball games, coaches shows and highlight shows. RCM Sports Marketing developed, sold and managed NASCAR sponsorships and activation.
Web Development and Entrepreneurship
Always interested in building and developing new concepts Joe has been involved in the development of new entities and businesses at various times during his career. In 1997 with the web in its infancy Joe launched a project that would be common place in today’s marketplace, but was revolutionary at the time. The United States Golf Federation was a web-based membership travel and discount organization centered around the Golf Industry. After tons of development and modeling, the launch of the site went flawlessly. Joe was able to sell the concept for a sizeable profit. Eventually the project would be rolled into one of the largest travel sites on the web today. In 2007 through Race City Management Joe launched a micro-niche site, imecksports.com. This site focused and a very small niche, local high school athletics. This project, though short lived, provided a base understanding of niche site content development and integration, social media promotion, and ROI modeling for a micro-site.
Joe shares his business knowledge and experience to help small and medium sized organizations grow and succeed by providing strategic management consulting. Business Consulting projects are a mix of dedicated contract and cost per project work.

Joe contributed his professional experience to the growth and development of both for profit corporations and non-profit community service organizations. He works with a fundamental belief that if you are blessed with talents and skills those can be used to benefit others, not only yourself.
* Treasurer on the board of directors for MI-Connection Communications Systems (2007-2008); Joe took a driving role in the $95 million communications start-up.
* Vice Chair for the non-profit Community Housing Development Corporation (2006-2010)
* Board member on the sports media non-profit Progress Avenue (2008-2011).
Joe worked in both the North Carolina Public and Private School Systems (2009-2014); He served as Digital Media Instructor. Served as a coach for various athletic teams, including a stint as a varsity head football and softball coach.
